Potential Undergraduate Students
I occasionally hire undergraduate students in my research lab. Students must be interested in the same research topics as our group and have previously taken IAD 10. Undergraduate students with the best experience as research assistants typically have enrolled in many social science courses. Email me or come to office hours!
Letter of Recommendations:
I am happy to write a letter of recommendation for students who are applying for scholarships, jobs, graduate school, and other opportunities that require a letter of reference. Please consider your experiences with me- the more experiences we have had (i.e. classes, mentorship, TA, qualifying exam committee, etc.), the stronger a letter of recommendation will be from me. In your email requesting a letter, please include
- The name of the opportunity (please describe what the recommendation is for)
- To whom the letter should be addressed
- How does the letter need to be submitted
- Due date (if the due date is less than 2 weeks, I may not be able to accommodate your request)
- Tell me about your educational or career goals. How are they directly related to the opportunity?
- Are there certain themes you would like me to emphasize?
