Position Title
M.S. Student (International Agricultural Development)
Hello, my name is Nyah and I am an undergraduate studying International Agricultural Development, with a minor in Spanish. I have a particular interest in sustainable agriculture development in rural communities. My family's Kurdish roots, as well as growing up in the diversity-rich city of San Diego gave me a passion for learning about other cultures, languages, and global dynamics; all of which I want to continue learning about in my career.
At UC Davis I have worked in the Gail Taylor Lab managing greenhouses and the vertical farm. I also have experience on the organic Student Farm. I am excited to apply these technical agriculture skills and knowledge to an international setting. When I am not studying or working, I am most likely outside doing something. I love running, hiking, camping, exercising, cooking, snowboarding, and arranging flowers.
